Mac has been seen by many as the more stable and essentially better device to purchase, considering the fact that they manufactured both their hardware (the computer parts itself) and the software (Mac operating system – macOS) integrated into the computer, this allows it to be more in sync since the same company (Apple) designed it. While Windows (PC) operating systems have the ability to run on numerous computers, which means there will be instability due to the differing hardware in each computer. Since there are several PC manufacturers around the world, the quality of the hardware being used can jeopardize the efficiency of the PC operating system.
A great difference that can be spotted between PC and Mac operating systems is how one can install and run the Windows (PC) operating system on a Mac, but one cannot run the Mac operating system on a PC. Although, we are now able to get around this issue by installing other programs that have been made to specifically allow the Mac operating system to be installed and operated on a PC. Apple itself, the company that created the Mac, invented a new software package named Bootcamp to allow installation of macOS onto a PC. A few other applications that are implemented to the original settings to install and run the Windows (PC) operating system are called Virtualbox and Parallels.

Concerning when you turn on the computer’s system for the first time, a PC operating system will come with many third-party applications already installed as a part of the system, whilst with the Mac operating system, there are none of these uncalled-for additional applications. A Mac operating system only comes with its own software and applications pre-installed and leaves the rest up to you to add. In many cases, a PC operating system will take away all of your storage (MB or GB) on a brand-new computer because of all the pre-installed third-party applications they integrated into their operating system.

Ultimately, it depends on you to find what type of operating system works best for you. The Mac operating system, although runs smoother and with more stability than that of the Windows (PC) operating system, has also been on the rise for getting more viruses recently as it has begun to become targeted by hackers. While a PC operating system is very common and relatively efficient, there is the issue of having third-party applications pre-installed into a device that many people mostly do not ever use and dislike.
